Radiology School at Mount Sinai South Nassau

The Robert J. Hochstim School of Radiography is run by the experienced and dedicated staff of Mount Sinai South Nassau’s state-of-the-art Department of Radiology. Our goal is to provide you with education and training in this exciting and growing field, in order to improve our patients’ quality of life. We accomplish this through both theory and practice, emphasizing moral and ethical qualities to help you become a skilled professional in the field of radiography. Founded in 1946, ours is the oldest accredited program of its kind in the state. It’s accredited by both the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) and the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH).

About the Program

We accept 12 students each year. The program is 24 months long, with education and training held weekdays from 8 am to 4 pm. Your day will include both academic and clinical applications of radiologic procedures. Student’s clinical rotations will be performed on the Mount Sinai South Nassau campuses.

Graduates of the program earn a certificate in medical radiography and are eligible to apply for the national certification examination from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Passing the ARRT examination will certify you as a Licensed Radiologic Technologist in the State of New York.
