Anesthesiology Residency Application

Anesthesiology Residency Program Application

Application Information - How to Apply

Criteria

We are looking for highly-motivated, intelligent, and empathetic people with a strong commitment to the field of anesthesiology. Candidates who have had U.S. hospital experience during their 3rd & 4th year clinical rotations are generally preferred.

We are unable to sponsor H1 or J1 visas. The program recruits 4 residents annually. Personal interviews are required and will be scheduled between November and January. For the 2025-2026 interview season, all interviews will conducted virtually.

How to Apply

Applications should be submitted online through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). We make appointments to the program through the National Intern and Resident Matching Program (the “match”). All applicants must be registered with the match and complete application forms supplied through ERAS.

While we preferentially review applications from those who signal our program, we also consider applicants who do not signal us.

The following are the required supporting application materials to the ERAS Common Application form:

  • USMLE transcript (scores)
  • Medical school transcripts
  • Photograph
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Personal statement
  • Letters of recommendation (three minimum, at least one from an anesthesiologist)
  • Dean's Letter/MSPE

Mount Sinai South Nassau is an equal opportunity employer. All applicants and employees are afforded equal employment opportunity without regard to race, color, religion, creed, sex, age, marital status, sexual orientation, national origin, genetic information, veteran status or any class protected by law.
