Michael P. Herman, MD

Director, Division of Urology

Prior to joining Mount Sinai South Nassau, Dr. Herman was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Urology at Weill Cornell Medical College. Board certified in Urology, Dr. Herman graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University with a bachelor’s degree in Biochemical Sciences and earned a medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He completed an internship and residency in General Surgery and Urology at New York Presbyterian Hospital, where he was awarded the Distinguished House Staff and Physician of the Year award. Dr. Herman is also trained on the da Vinci® Surgical System, which is a minimally invasive, robotic-assisted surgical platform.  In addition to urologic oncology, Dr. Herman performs MRI-targeted prostate biopsies, and specializes in minimally invasive options for enlarged prostates.

Stanley M. Ring, MD, FACS

Dr. Ring is board certified in adult and pediatric urology. He received his B.A. degree from Brooklyn College in NY and obtained his medical degree from the University Autonomous of Guadalajara in Guadalajara, Mexico. Dr. Ring completed his residency at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow and Methodist Hospital, Brooklyn. He is the Director of Urology at South Nassau and is a Attending Professor of Clinical Urology in the Department of Surgery at Nassau University Medical Center and a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Urology at the Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine. Dr. Ring is also a member of the American Medical Association, American Urological Association, Nassau County Medical Society, Brooklyn, Queens, Long Island Urological Association, American College of Surgeons, New York Section, American Urological Association, Medical Society of the State of New York and the Nassau Surgical Society.

Daniel S. McCally, MD, FACS

Dr. McCally is board certified in urology. He received his B.A. degree from Adelphi University in Garden City, NY and obtained his medical degree from the New Jersey College of Medicine and Dentistry. Dr. McCally completed his residency at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, NY. He is the Director of Urology at Nassau University Medical Center as well as the Director of the Urology Residency Training Program there. He is also Assistant Director of Urology at South Nassau and is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Urology at the Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine. Dr. McCally is also a fellow in the American College of Surgeons and the Nassau Academy of Medicine and belongs to the American Urological Society, New York Section of the American Urological Association, New York State Urological Society, Brooklyn, Queens, Long Island Urological Society, Nassau Surgical Society, Nassau County Medical Society, New York State Medical Society, and the American Medical Association.

Ray Sultan, MD

Dr. Sultan is board certified in urology. He obtained his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine in New York, NY. Dr. Sultan completed his male infertility mini research fellowship at Weill Cornell Medical School in New York, NY and his residency training in urology at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ.

Ryan J. Chuang, MD

Ryan J. Chuang, MD is a board eligible Urologist. He earned his medical degree from and completed his residency at the the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, and completed his Robotics and Urologic Oncology fellowship at Swedish Medical Center. Dr. Chuang graduated summa cum laude in bioengineering from UCSD and completed a master’s in applied mathematics from Cambridge University. He is well published in many of the top urology journals on topics including prostate cancer and robotic surgery.

Mahyar Kashani, MD serves as director of Male Sexual Health and Assistant Professor of Urology at Mount Sinai South Nassau Hospital. Born and raised on Long Island, Dr. Kashani is committed to providing exceptional care to his local community. He earned his bachelor’s degree magna cum laude from SUNY Stony Brook University and his Medical Degree from the SUNY Downstate Health Sciences Center in Brooklyn, New York, where he also completed his Urologic Surgery Residency, serving as Chief Resident. He further honed his expertise with a fellowship in Male Sexual Health and Reproductive Medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City.

Dr. Kashani offers personalized, cutting-edge treatments for conditions such as erectile dysfunction, penile injection therapy, penile ultrasounds, penile prosthetics, Peyronie’s disease, low testosterone, and male infertility. His proficiency also includes a wide range of general urological conditions, addressing issues such as kidney stones, enlarged prostate, urinary dysfunction and overactive bladder. With multiple office locations across Long Island, Dr. Kashani is dedicated to delivering top-quality, accessible care to his patients.

Steven Harris, MD, FACS is board certified in Urology. He earned his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, NY and completed his Residency in General Surgery and Urology at Mount Sinai Hospital, New York, NY. Dr. Harris is the former Chief of Urology at Long Beach Medical Center and has been an Auxiliary Police Surgeon for the past 20 years. He is consistently named by Castle Connolly in their Top Doctors for Urology.
