Our Program
Program History
Our Family Medicine Residency Program has been accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) since 1977 and has graduated over 200 physicians. In 2008, we developed the osteopathic family medicine residency, and received accreditation by the AOA, established the first dually accredited Family Medicine Residency Program on Long Island (Nassau and Suffolk counties).
Over 250 medical students perform clinical clerkships here each year. Students of nursing, pharmacy and other allied health professions rotate through the hospital as well.
The combination of a large and active medical staff, commitment to medical education, outstanding facilities, and a friendly atmosphere provide an excellent opportunity for learning.
