Residency Programs - Preparing Physicians to Be Leaders in Care

Mount Sinai South Nassau is pleased to offer Family Medicine Residency, General Surgery Residency, Internal Medicine Residency, Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency, and Podiatry Residency programs, which are suburban, community-based, medical school-affiliated programs with easy access to New York City. All of the ACGME programs are sponsored by the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

Academics and education are combined with hands-on, direct patient care. Our programs have strong collaborative relationships the departments of Medicine at several large schools, including SUNY Downstate, Stony Brook and Hofstra.

The three years of residency training are possibly the most important in one’s entire medical education. Our programs are committed to providing the best possible educational experience for each resident.

Our programs focus on education, with a strong didactic program and easy access to our faculty, as well as other specialists and sub-specialists. We take pride in our supportive educational environment, with personalized attention provided to each resident.
