Curriculum

Year One:
Inpatient Medicine 32 weeks
Ambulatory Medicine 8 weeks
Elective 4 weeks
Research/Performance Improvement 4 weeks
Vacation 4 weeks

Year Two:
Inpatient Medicine 16 weeks
MICU 4 weeks
Pulmonary/Respiratory Care Unit 4 weeks
CCU 2 weeks
Cardiology 4 weeks
Ambulatory Medicine 4 weeks
Geriatrics 4 weeks
Elective 8 weeks
Research/Performance Improvement 2 weeks
Vacation 4 weeks

Year Three:
MICU Nights 4 weeks
Neurology 4 weeks
Hematology/Oncology 4 weeks
Rheumatology 4 weeks
Infectious Diseases 4 weeks
Gastroenterology 4 weeks
Nephrology 4 weeks
Endocrinology 4 weeks
Ambulatory Care    8 weeks
Emergency Medicine 4 weeks
Elective 4 weeks
Vacation 4 weeks

Continuity Clinic: Residents spend one afternoon per week in Continuity Clinic during all inpatient and subspecialty rotations, except for MICU Nights. They spend two afternoons per week in Continuity Clinic during Ambulatory Medicine rotations.

Additional conferences are held every two to four weeks and include Journal Club, Morbidity and Mortality Conference, and a General Residency Conference (for residents in all specialties.)
