Biography
Dr. Kessler is a fellowship-trained vascular surgeon with expertise in the treatment of aortic aneurysms, peripheral vascular disease and venous disorders, limb salvage therapies, carotid disease, hemodialysis access, wound care, and the utilization of open, endovascular, and hybrid treatment options.
After completing his undergraduate degree at the University of Maryland, College Park with a Bachelor of Science in general biology with honors, Dr. Kessler completed the prestigious IRTA pre-doctoral research fellowship at the National Institutes of Health.
He obtained his medical degree from the Sackler School of Medicine, at Tel Aviv University, and then completed his general surgery residency training with the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai South Nassau Hospital. This was followed by a vascular surgery fellowship at Rutgers – New Jersey Medical School and he is currently a registered physician in vascular interpretation (RPVI).
Dr. Kessler has a particular interest in health policy, quality, and outcome-based medicine and obtained a Master of Public Health (MPH), with a concentration on health services administration from the University at Buffalo. He strives to prioritize patient-centered care, effective communication and works in multidisciplinary teams to identify the best and most up-to-date individualized treatment plans.
