Biography

Irving Levine, MD is a gastroenterologist who specializes in the treatment of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), including Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn’s Disease. Dr. Levine is the Director of IBD at Mount Sinai South Nassau. Dr. Levine oversees all aspects of IBD care, including medication management, biologic infusion therapy, endoscopic evaluation, and intervention. He works closely with his colorectal surgery colleagues to provide comprehensive IBD care. Dr. Levine is board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology.

Dr. Levine obtained his medical degree at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, NY, and completed his internal medicine residency at NYU Langone Health in New York City. He completed his general gastroenterology training at Northwell Health and IBD advanced fellowship at NYU Langone Health. Dr. Levine is published in peer-reviewed journals and has authored numerous manuscripts. He is an active member of American College of Gastroenterology (ACG) and American Gastroenterology Association (AGA).
