Biography
Dr. Avadhani joined the Zena and Michael A. Wiener Cardiovascular Institute as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital, specializing in Interventional Cardiology and Endovascular Interventions in September 2021. Dr. Avadhani earned her medical degree from the University of Massachusetts medical school in Worcester, MA and then her residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in General Cardiovascular Disease and further advanced training in Interventional Cardiology and Endovascular interventions at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City from July 2019 to June 2021.
She is both an Interventional and Endovascular Cardiologist with specialized focus in non-surgical treatments of coronary artery disease, ilio-femoral, renal and carotid disease, aortic aneurysms, critical limb ischemia and a spectrum of venous disorders to provide her patients complete cardiovascular care. She is actively involved with clinical research and has numerous co-authored peer-reviewed manuscripts, abstracts, book chapters, in addition to national and international conference presentations.
