Biography
Ji Yeoun (Jenna) Yoo, MD is an Associate Professor of Neurology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She received her neurology residency training at the Mount Sinai Hospital, followed by a two-year fellowship training in epilepsy/EEG at the comprehensive epilepsy center at Yale University. After her fellowship, she returned to Mount Sinai to join the faculty. She is director of the epilepsy fellowship and epilepsy clinical trials research.
Dr. Yoo is a clinician, educator, and clinical researcher. She monitors and interprets EEGs for patients in the epilepsy monitoring units, intensive care units, and in ambulatory settings within the Mount Sinai Health System. She sees patients age 12 and up, and is passionate in the care of patients with epilepsy/seizure disorder including those with drug-resistant epilepsy. She performs a thorough surgical evaluation for the patients with drug-resistant epilepsy with the team, and is devoted to improving their quality of life.
Dr. Yoo's clinical and research interests include medical management and pre-surgical evaluation of patients with epilepsy and their long term outcome, cognitive and behavioral aspects of epilepsy, and EEG monitoring. She is board certified in Neurology, Epilepsy, Epilepsy monitoring, and Critical Care EEG monitoring.
