Biography
Dr. Steiner is a vice chair of the department of radiology and chief of the Abdominal Imaging Section. He is board certified in diagnostic radiology. He graduated summa cum laude from Yeshiva University and earned a medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine with AOA honors. He completed an internal medicine internship at Long Island Jewish Medical Center and completed a residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Montefiore Medical Center. He was fellowship-trained in Body Imaging at North Shore University Hospital and has worked almost continuously since at Mount Sinai South Nassau. Dr. Steiner has extensive experience in Pelvic Floor Imaging. He has held an academic appointment of Clinical Professor at the Hofstra North Shore-LIJ School of Medicine, prior to the hospital’s affiliation with Mount Sinai and now holds an academic appointment at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He has presented cutting-edge clinical work at several national and international meetings and has published in numerous peer-reviewed journals.
