Biography
Dr. Ma is a board certified specialist in Internal Medicine with a PhD in Molecular Biology. She is a graduate of Shanghai Medical University and completed her doctoral and postdoctoral research work in Biomedical Sciences at Mount Sinai Medical Center, New York. She completed her internship and residency training at the Albert Einstein School of Medicine of Jacobi Medical Center and Einstein Hospital, New York. Following her residency, she worked as a hospitalist at Genesee Hospital in Rochester, New York, before joining the faculty at University of Rochester Medical Center and working as a hospitalist at Strong Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Ma established the hospitalist program at Mercy Medical Center in Rockville Centre, New York in 2004, serving as Director from 2004 to 2007. In 2007, she brought her experience to Mount Sinai South Nassau and established Mount Sinai South Nassau’s Hospitalist Program. Dr. Ma specializes in the care of complex, acutely ill medical inpatients. She is a member of the Society of Hospital Medicine. Dr. Ma also serves as Associate Program Director of the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Mount Sinai South Nassau.
