From the Director
The Geriatric Medicine Fellowship is based on the foundation of both the services and specialty centers of South Nassau Family Medicine and the Family Medicine Residency Program of South Nassau Communities Hospital. South Nassau Family Medicine is distinguished by its commitment to caring for its patients and to education of its residents.
South Nassau Family Medicine Geriatric Fellowship offers high quality compassionate care within a comprehensive range of services tailored to the individual needs of the patients, from social services, to preventive medicine and urgent health care. The emphasis on the development of a relationship with your doctor is facilitated by the presence of seven full-time, board-certified family physicians with over 70 combine years of practicing and teaching experience. The learning environment, facilitated by 39 residents of South Nassau’s fully accredited Family Practice Residency Training Program, supports contemporary and cutting-edge patient care. The Geriatric Medicine Fellowship within the Department of Family Medicine adds an additional layer of education and distinguished care from residents during their intense time of focused study.
