Radiology

The Department of Radiology consists of 8 board-certified radiologists offering subspecialty training in Body Imaging & Interventions, Nuclear Medicine, Vascular Interventional Radiology, and Neuroradiology.

We perform a full range of imaging methods on an inpatient, outpatient, and emergency basis at the hospital, including:

  • Diagnostic Radiography and Fluoroscopy
  • Multi-slice Computed Tomography
  • High-field Closed-Bore Magnetic Resonance Imaging
  • Ultrasound
  • Nuclear Medicine
  • Angiography and Interventional Procedures
  • PET/CT (outpatient only)

Our modern digital image archive and specialized computer processing servers enable detailed evaluation, rapid reporting, and sophisticated examinations including CT & MR angiography, CT lung cancer screening, and CT Colonography (Virtual Colonoscopy).

All images and reports are immediately available to your South Nassau Communities Hospital clinicians from their offices 24 hours a day, via secure connection.
