Louis Rosner, MD Louis M. Rosner, M.D., FACS
Director, Otorhinolaryngology

Dr. Rosner is board-certified in Otolaryngology and is proficient in both pediatric and adult ear, nose and throat and head and neck surgery. He specializes in image-guided intraoperative sinus surgery as well as advanced ear and voice reconstructive procedures. Dr. Rosner graduated with an honors B.A. in biology and Summa Cum Laude from Stony Brook University. He obtained his medical degree from the Chicago Medical School. He also completed his residency and fellowship at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary.

Dr. Rosner was appointed section chief of the Department of Ear, Nose and Throat at South Nassau in 2005. He has since performed over 2,000 specialized surgical sinus procedures. He is a pioneer in balloon sinuplasty and was one of the initial physicians on Long Island to perform intraoperative computer image-guided sinus surgery. Dr. Rosner is a diplomate of both the American Board of Otolaryngology and the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

Jeffrey Zauderer, MD  Neil Hammerman, MD, FACS
Physician, Otorhinolaryngology

Dr. Hammerman is a board-certified Otolaryngologist. He has over 30 years experience in treating adult and pediatric ear, nose and throat diseases as well as head and neck cancers. Dr. Hammerman obtained his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati Medical School and completed his internship and residency in Otolaryngology, as well as his fellowship in head and neck cancer surgery, there as well. He is also a diplomate of the American Board of Otolaryngology.

Kakani, MD Rajesh S. Kakani, MD, FACS
Physician, Otorhinolaryngology

Dr. Kakani is board-certified in otolaryngology. He obtained his medical degree from the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College in Indore, India and a Master of Surgery Certification (Otorhinolaryngology), Postgraduate from the prestigious Institute of Medical Education and Research in Chandigarh, India. He completed his residency at the State University of NY at Stony Brook and his fellowship at Lenox Hill Hospital.

He is a diplomate of the American Board of Otolaryngology as well as the National Board of Otorhinolaryngology (India). Dr. Kakani is also a fellow in the American College of Surgeons and the American Academy of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery. He is also an assistant clinical professor of otolaryngology at Albert Einstein Medical College and is a well-published author in many peer review journals.

Jeff D. Kopelman, MD Jeff D. Kopelman, MD, FACS
Physician, Otorhinolaryngology

Dr. Kopelman is board-certified in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery. He received his BS degree from Brandeis University and his masters from New York University. Dr. Kopelman obtained his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and completed his residency at the Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital. He is a clinical instructor at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, Long Island Jewish Medical Center and Cohen’s Children’s Hospital. He specializes in all aspects of adult and pediatric ear, nose and throat medicine and surgery including the latest intraoperative computer image-guided endoscopic sinus surgery and balloon sinuplasty. Special attention is paid to patients with disabilities.
