The Center for Cardiovascular Health

Established in 2008, the Center for Cardiovascular Health at South Nassau offers patients leading-edge diagnostics and treatment options housed in state-of-the art labs and procedure rooms, all in the convenience of the local community. Services are further strengthened by a dynamic team of highly-trained and skilled cardiovascular interventional specialists, cardiologists, cardiac care nurses, radiologists, and ancillary support staff who attend to every need of each patient. All of the Center’s registered nurses hold advanced cardiac life support certification.

The Center specializes not only in cardiac catheterization, it also has one of the area’s premier electrophysiology (EP) labs, accredited by the Intersocietal Commission for Accreditation of Echocardiography (ICAEL), and a new, state-of-the-art non-invasive vascular lab. For the majority of procedures, patients are discharged within 24 hours and referred for follow up care with their primary care physician and/or cardiologist.
