The Martin E. Greenspan, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Center for Ambulatory Surgery

The Greenspan Ambulatory Surgery center connects you with the experienced hands of qualified surgeons and the healing power of modern medical technology and caring staff. We consistently receive accolades from patients for the quality of care they experience on our ambulatory unit.

The Greenspan Ambulatory Surgery Unit is a state-of-the-art facility that features three dedicated operating rooms and eight private pre-operative/recovery suites. In the comfort of your room, we discuss with you the procedure you will undergo and answer any questions you may have about your surgery and recovery. Following your surgery, you are returned to your room where you will begin the recovery phase of your surgery, receive pain medication and post-op teaching prior to your discharge. The ASU is open 24 hours a day Monday through Friday, for patients who may be required to stay overnight for discharge the following day. It is also available for outpatient blood transfusions and outpatient I.V. infusions.

Even after discharge, our skilled post-operative registered nurses are available to speak with you about your procedure, answering your questions with care, patience and compassion. You will routinely receive a telephone call from our ASU post-op RN on the day following your surgery to follow up on your post-operative progress, the effectiveness of your post-op pain management, and your satisfaction with our surgical services.

A wide range of surgical specialties are performed in The Greenspan Ambulatory Surgery suite, which include: orthopedics, plastic surgeries, selected urologic procedures, ophthalmic surgeries including cataract removal, gynecologic procedures, podiatric surgeries, select pediatric surgeries, ear, nose and throat surgeries and endoscopic procedures.
