Employee of the Quarter - 3Q 2012

Quarterly, all employees are eligible for nomination for their outstanding performance &/or contributions to their unit, the dept, &/or the hospital. Of the 4 winners selected during the calendar year, seen below are the “Nursing” employees who have won to date.

Patricia Falero-Strickland

Job Title: Registered Nurse, D-3 Labor & Delivery
Shift: Day

Pat has been a well-respected Registered Nurse at South Nassau for almost over 18 years. Maintaining a positive attitude and outlook, she is always more than willing to go the extra mile for anyone, regardless of whether they are a patient, a family member, or a co-worker. Pat is well-versed in what she does and is very comfortable in caring for patients, yet she is constantly seeking to better her skill set. She is hard-working, determined, and appreciative of what she has in her life. Pat is a Magnet champion and an excellent preceptor. She gives 110% to anyone that she precepts, is a very effective communicator, and serves as a mentor to a lot of people. It is clear to see that Pat is proud to be a nurse. The staff enjoys working with her, and the patients feel safe having her as their nurse. Pat truly cares, and the patients and their families quickly learn to trust her. She will do more than just any regular caregiver needs to do to take care of not only the patient, but their family members as well. She is truly an exemplary employee, someone we can be proud of to have in the organization.
