Obstetrics & Gynecology Residency

Thank you for your interest in the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (South Nassau) ACGME - accredited Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program. 

We are located on the beautiful south shore of Long Island, just minutes away from tranquil beaches and an easy commute to the excitement of NYC.

The department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is committed to providing the best possible educational environment for our residents while delivering the highest quality of care for our patients. 



The residency program is designed to offer broad clinical training in both general obstetrics and gynecology as well as its subspecialties. Our full time and voluntary faculty members are passionate about education.  In addition, our robust subspecialty divisions (FPMRS, GYN ONC, MFM, REI) provide residents with an unparalleled scope, breadth and depth of clinical experience. In addition to the core OB/GYN services, residents will also gain experience in other specialty areas including radiology, ICU and anesthesia. All rotations are at Mount Sinai South Nassau.

Mount Sinai South Nassau is an award winning modern, suburban “full service” hospital.

Our Women’s Care Services are award winning and rival those of larger academic centers.  Our beautiful labor and delivery unit has all private labor and post-partum suites.   Patients receive highly specialized care thanks to our Level II NICU, board certified neonatologists, pediatric and MFM subspecialists.  We provide education and care for our patients throughout their pregnancy including childbirth classes, lactation education and infant/child CPR.  We also provide comprehensive GYN care ranging from benign GYN, GYN Oncology and Urogynecology / Pelvic Floor Disorders.
 
The hospital continues to grow in both size and services.  Our current expansion project involves creating a new 40-bed ICU, new cardiothoracic operating suites and a new Emergency Department.  In addition, highly specialized physicians from Mount Sinai Hospital continue to become an integral part of our clinical care staff, allowing us to provide training in even more advanced care and procedures.
