The staff of the Mount Sinai South Nassau maternity unit is proud to offer advanced maternity services to mothers with their babies in the comfort of our labor and delivery suite. Our rooms are more likely to remind you of a 5-star hotel than a hospital room. These warm, inviting spaces offer the comforts of home with all the latest technology right at hand.

Labor and Delivery Suites

After we welcome your newborn into the world, you’ll rest in one of our 26 private maternity rooms. Each suite includes a full bath, flat-screen television and Internet connection so you can easily rest and choose when to share your news with the world. We also ensure that you have the important time and tools to get to know your baby. For example, we’re part of the Baby-Friendly™ Hospital Initiative, a worldwide initiative to promote and support breastfeeding and mother-baby bonding. It’s part of a program developed by the World Health Organization (WHO) and UNICEF. We also offer a range of other support, from breastfeeding to baby care and even infant/child CPR.
