On Saturday, November 7, 2015, South Nassau Communities Hospital will hold its annual Carnation Ball at The Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury. The Ball will celebrate South Nassau's 87-year commitment to providing the gold standard of healthcare to the more than 950,000 South Shore residents whom we serve.
Bruce C. Ratner, Executive Chairman, Forest City Ratner Companies is the honoree of the Ball. Mr. Ratner is recognized as one of the foremost real estate developers in the United States, leading bold, transformative projects that have shaped the future of New York City and Long Island. Mr. Ratner is an active philanthropist, generously lending his time, talents and treasures to a broad range of interests ranging from the arts to education to healthcare.
South Nassau's prestigious Mary Pearson Award will be presented to Joshua N. Kugler, MD, FACEP, FAAEM, the hospital's chair of Emergency Medicine. Dr. Kugler's 15-year tenure as chair is marked by leadership, innovation and advancements in emergency medical care. Sparked by Dr. Kugler's leadership, South Nassau restored emergency medical healthcare services to the residents of Long Beach and surrounding communities with the opening of the South Nassau Emergency Department at Long Beach.
The funds raised will support South Nassau's Emergency Department Expansion Campaign. The black tie event begins with cocktails at 6:30 and dinner at 8:00 pm.
